Mobilising Orphans per Village
We mobilise up to 100 orphaned children per village into our care network — identifying those most in need and connecting them with guardian families who are equipped and supported to care for them.
Children without parents deserve more than an institution — they deserve a family. CMHDA works through guardians and relatives to give every orphaned child a safe home, an education, and the knowledge that they are loved.
Family-based orphan care supports children who are orphaned — whose parents are deceased — or otherwise separated from their biological families and placed under the care of relatives, guardians, or community members.
Research consistently shows that children thrive best in a family setting rather than an institutional one. CMHDA works within existing community structures — empowering guardians and relatives with the tools, training, and resources they need to give orphaned children a real home.
These children need a safe home, education, food, and emotional support. They need to know they belong somewhere and to someone.
"Every orphaned child deserves not just care — but a place they call home."

We provide school fees, learning materials, and enrolment support — channelled through guardians so they can fulfil their role as responsible caregivers, keeping children in school and on a path to the future.
Healthcare for orphaned children is typically beyond what guardians can afford. We fund medical access and treatments through guardian families — ensuring no child goes without care due to the cost.
We provide the everyday essentials that allow a child to live with dignity — dresses, sandals, learning lamps, nutritional support, and other basic needs. Every detail matters in a child's sense of belonging.
A guardian who is equipped is a guardian who thrives. We train family members and caregivers in orphan care best practices — covering child emotional development, nutrition, discipline, and financial management — building lasting capacity in the community.
Every guardian who receives training and support becomes a lifeline for the orphaned children in their care.
"Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless."— Isaiah 1:17
Children in family settings consistently achieve better outcomes than those in institutions — emotionally, educationally, and socially.
A family provides the love, consistency, and belonging that no institution can fully replicate for a growing child.
Children in family-based care have higher school attendance, better nutrition, and stronger social development.
Remaining within their community preserves language, culture, and relationships — vital for identity and healing.
Equipping existing families creates a sustainable, self-reinforcing model that grows within the community itself.
"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress." — James 1:27
